Daily Support
Our team is on-site 24/7 to provide support when you need it.
Northridge Addiction Treatment Center provides residential addiction treatment and medical detox for Van Nuys residents, from its facility at 6215 White Oak Avenue in Encino, minutes away in the central Valley. The program treats drug and alcohol addiction with co-occurring mental health conditions, holds 12 clients, and prescribes methadone when clinically appropriate. A benefits check confirms coverage before admission.
The closest residential facility to Van Nuys
Of the Valley communities this facility serves, Van Nuys is among the closest, only minutes away in neighboring Encino. That proximity matters more than it might seem. For a Van Nuys family bringing someone in for admission, or staying involved through treatment, the short distance keeps everything close to home. For a client, it means residential care that provides real separation from daily routines without being far from the part of the Valley they know. The facility sits just south and west of Van Nuys, a quick trip down Sepulveda or the 405.
One continuous program from detox through residential
The central feature here is that detox and residential care happen in the same place, as one continuous program rather than a handoff between facilities. Many treatment paths involve detoxing at one location and then finding a separate residential program, which creates a gap at the most fragile point in early recovery. Here, medical detox under 24/7 physician care runs directly into residential treatment on the same site, so no one is discharged into the space between stopping use and starting the real work. That continuity is often what keeps early recovery from falling apart.
What the program covers
Beyond the detox-to-residential continuum, treatment includes dual diagnosis care and medication-assisted treatment. Residential care delivers individual counseling and group therapy grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and 12-step facilitation. Dual diagnosis care treats depression, anxiety, and trauma alongside the substance use rather than referring it out. For opioid use disorder, methadone is available within a medication-assisted treatment plan when the medical team determines it fits. Couples treatment is offered for partners entering together. The program treats alcohol, opioids including fentanyl and heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and prescription medications.
Who the program treats
This is a co-ed residential program for adults 18 and older whose substance use has reached the point where getting sober at home is not realistic. It fits people whose drinking or drug use is no longer manageable around work and family, people coming off a relapse, and people leaving a hospital or a detox elsewhere who need structured live-in care. Rooms are semi-private, with private options, and the program caps at 12 clients. Anyone who needs psychiatric hospitalization or is actively suicidal is directed to a higher level of care first.
A small program close to home
The 12-client cap keeps groups small and clinician attention high, and clients keep approved access to phones and laptops during residential treatment. For a Van Nuys resident, the combination of a small program and a location minutes from home means residential care does not require disappearing far away or losing touch with work and family. The closeness also makes family involvement straightforward, which matters because family participation tends to support better outcomes.
Confirming coverage from Van Nuys
We work with most major commercial insurance plans and verify your specific benefits before admission. Coverage for residential treatment depends on your individual policy, so rather than list carrier names that may not apply to you, we run a real benefits check and give you the actual answer. Verification takes a few minutes by phone or through the form on this page, and the admissions team explains what is covered, what any out-of-pocket cost looks like, and the next step. Calling (855) 584-3819 gets the same information in one conversation.
Minutes south from Van Nuys on Sepulveda or the 405
The facility at 6215 White Oak Avenue in Encino is a short trip from Van Nuys, south and west on Sepulveda Boulevard or the 405, then over to White Oak. It is one of the shortest drives of any community the facility serves, a few minutes across the central Valley. Because the program is residential, the trip is made at admission and discharge rather than daily, but the closeness means families can visit and stay involved with almost no travel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a residential rehab near me in Van Nuys?
Yes, minutes away in neighboring Encino. Our facility runs a 12-client residential program with medical detox on-site, and it is among the closest residential facilities to Van Nuys, a short trip down Sepulveda or the 405.
Where is the closest detox near me if I live in Van Nuys?
Our facility provides medical detox on-site under 24/7 physician care in Encino, minutes from Van Nuys. Detox runs directly into the residential program on the same site, so there is no gap between the two.
Do I have to detox and do rehab at separate places near me?
No. Here detox and residential treatment are one continuous program at the same facility, so you are not discharged from a detox center to go find a separate rehab. That continuity matters most in the fragile first days of recovery.

I cannot thank all who were involved with this facility enough we have been struggling with my son Michael's addiction for so long after many attempts he would not agree to enter a center for every reason in the book, he finally agreed to try out this facility on a recovering addict Alex and Vincent helped so much getting him on board and I felt his confidence in their facility. Patrick was great and especially Jordan who shared with me all the info God Bless all these people who are dealing directly with the devil !!! Well done I spent a lot of money but so far I am so thankful to see the physical and mental changes in him. Let's keep praying for all our addicted children. Sincerely Randy Sutter![]()

I came to Northridge Addiction Treatment Center in Encino back in March not knowing exactly what I needed, only that I wanted to find the right path for my life. What I found there was more than just a treatment program, I found people who genuinely cared about me, my sobriety, and my future. From day one, I felt seen and supported. I believe that God put me here for a reason, and I want to especially recognize Andy Woodward, who had a massive impact on me. He has a way of breaking down the 12 steps that made them feel doable instead of overwhelming. His groups were some of the most engaging and eye-opening experiences I’ve ever had. He made recovery feel like something I could truly own. I also had an incredible counselor, Jude, who listened deeply and helped me work through some of the harder personal things I had buried for years. There are many others I’m so grateful for, Brian, Anthony, Pat, Olivia, Jen, Justin, and Clint. Each one of them played a part in helping me find hope again. There’s even one more staff member whose name I can’t remember, but I’ll never forget her smile, she had a calming presence that stuck with me, even in my dreams (Maybe Olivia). Idk🤔 This place didn’t just teach me how to stay sober, it taught me how to live with purpose. If you’re even slightly considering getting help, NATC could be that life-changing chapter you didn’t know you needed. Gang Gang
