Amar Sagoo is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). As the Head Nurse Practitioner of Northridge Addiction Treatment Center with ten years of experience in nursing and five years in the abuse and addiction treatment field, she directly cares for all of NATC’s residents. She is committed to doing anything within her power for each patient while treating them with empathy, compassion, and respect.
Amar started her education with a Bachelor of Biology (BS) from California State University, Northridge, and then obtained a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). She graduated Cum Lauda from West Coast University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) and a registered nurse license and received a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with honors from Herzing University in Wisconsin.
After working in biotechnology for 15 years, she decided she wanted to make a firsthand impact and followed her heart into healthcare and nursing. Amar proclaims it was the best career decision she ever made. After working in Urgent Care for various years, she became passionate and eager to help patients seeking relief from substance use disorders. Her focus is on positively impacting patients by providing them guidance and trust when they need it the most to see them heal and recover, living by what she often tells residents— “If you are successful, then I am successful.”
